IA|BE Insurance Business Game
Discover the fundamentals of insurance and the Solvency II risk management framework in a hands-on, interactive way! In this engaging business game, you will step into the shoes of an insurance company's decision-makers: taking pricing and investment decisions, computing your profit & loss account and Solvency ratio, and immediately seeing the impact of your choices on the profitability and solvency of your company. Along the way, you will learn about insurance coverages and pricing, the three pillars of Solvency II, and the basics of ALM and financial risks, all implemented in a transparent Excel model that lets you benchmark your results against the other players. This training is ideal for junior and senior actuaries or financial managers eager to grasp the essentials of insurance, risk management and ALM. A basic knowledge of insurance and finance is all you need to get started. Just bring your laptop with Excel and join the game.
Practical Information
Both sessions will take place at Curalia, Brussels. The business game is limited to a maximum of 20 participants. Please note that you are expected to bring your own laptop.
