The Permanent Staff of the IA|BE takes care of the daily functioning of the Institute.

Gerda Elsen - Director Training and Accreditation, a trained actuary, joined the IA|BE Staff some 20 years ago and contributed largely to the development and growth of the Institute. Gerda also teaches mathematics at a Belgian university. Through her actuarial and academic background, she is ideally placed to coordinate the IA|BE trainings initiatives and safeguard the interest of our members in many other fields.

Cécile Adams joined the IA|BE staff in 2013. With her language skills, a wide experience in administrative and organisational tasks and a natural sense for detail, she contributes largely to the functioning of the Institute.

Frank DausyGeneral Manager, joined the IA|BE Staff in 2018. He has a background in finance and makes it his priority to connect IA|BE and the actuarial profession as close as possible to its different stakeholders. He operates comfortably on a senior level, with a focus on positioning and strategy. 

Rob De StaelenDirector Communication and Member Engagement, joined the IA|BE Staff in 2020. He is an actuarial consultant who is also involved in public affairs, policy and research. Rob focuses on the internal and external communication of the Institute and on increasing the engagement with our members.
