IA|BE Solvency II Advanced - Pillar II: Cyber Risk
Cyber risk has rapidly emerged as one of the most significant and challenging risk categories facing the insurance sector: both as an underwriting risk for insurers offering cyber cover, and as an operational risk for all undertakings managing sensitive data and critical IT infrastructure. This session provides a rigorous treatment of cyber risk under Solvency II Pillar II, covering the regulatory requirements for cyber risk identification and management, the specific challenges of quantifying and stress-testing cyber exposures, and how cyber risk is integrated into the risk management framework and ORSA. Participants will examine the key cyber risk scenarios relevant to insurers, including ransomware, data breaches and systemic cyber events, and the modelling and scenario analysis approaches used to assess their financial impact.
This session is suited for actuaries and insurance professionals involved in risk management, IT governance or the ORSA at Belgian insurers or reinsurers who want to deepen their understanding of cyber risk identification, quantification and governance under Solvency II and DORA.
Practical info: The session will be delivered in English, and a Teams link will be shared two days prior to the session.
