This session explores the interaction between BEGAAP and Solvency II. Participants examine the key differences in valuation principles, from prudence-based statutory accounting to the market-consistent Solvency II balance sheet, and how to bridge the two. The session also highlights the practical implications for reporting, capital and decision-making, and shows how both frameworks coexist in day-to-day practice. This session builds on the 'BEGAAP Framework' session on 17/11/2026; attending that session first is recommended but not required.
Target audience: Actuaries, finance and reporting professionals, risk managers and others working with BEGAAP and/or Solvency II who want to understand how both frameworks interact.
