IA|BE Solvency II vs. Other Frameworks – Comparing SII with IRRD
The Insurance Recovery and Resolution Directive (IRRD) introduces a dedicated recovery and resolution framework that lands on top of the Solvency II regime you already work with. This two-hour online session sets the two side by side: the objectives and scope of the IRRD, recovery planning (design, triggers, escalation and governance), resolution tools and the conditions for their application, and how it all interacts with the Solvency II supervisory ladder of intervention. The approach is technical and practice-oriented throughout, with a clear focus on what a robust recovery plan looks like in practice, where organisations typically fall short, and a concrete roadmap for what to do now, which stakeholders to involve and the common implementation pitfalls to avoid.
Target audience
Actuaries and insurance professionals working in risk management, governance, compliance or senior management at Belgian insurers and reinsurers. A solid working knowledge of Solvency II is assumed; no prior exposure to the IRRD is required.
Practical information
This is a two-hour online session, delivered in English, and forms part of the broader IA|BE Solvency II training programme. The Teams link will be shared no later than two days in advance.
