CPD: Communicationtraining for Young Members 

We are delighted to introduce our online Communicationtraining, especially designed for the IA|BE young members at the start of their professional journey and becoming an IA|BE Qualified Actuary. Participation is free. 

As actuaries, we work with complex models, detailed analyses and technical insights. However, our impact goes far beyond calculations. The true value of our work lies in how well we can communicate our findings, results, ideas and arguments to others, often to stakeholders who do not share the same technical background.

That is why this training is a mandatory component for an IA|BE qualification. We believe that strong communication skills are an essential part of being a well-rounded actuary. Developing these skills early in your career will not only support your professional growth, but also strengthen the profession as a whole.

What to expect

This is a two-hour online interactive session focused on one key question:

How can you communicate your findings, results, ideas and arguments in a clear and comprehensible manner to various stakeholders who do not have the same level of technical knowledge?

During the session, we will explore:

• Translating technical actuarial content into clear and accessible language
• Structuring your message for different audiences
• Identifying the core message behind your analysis
• Practical tips to increase clarity, impact and engagement

The session is designed to be practical, engaging and directly applicable to your daily work.

Attention: This training session is only intended for young members who may become IA|BE Qualified Actuary for the first time. Young members are those members who became member of IA|BE after 01/01/2022.
