IA|BE Data Science & AI seminar: Ethics and Fairness

The IA|BE Working Group Data Science & AI warmly invites you to an in-person event fully dedicated to AI Ethics and Fairness in the actuarial profession.

As AI systems take on increasingly consequential roles, from credit scoring to stock market predictions, the question of fairness and accountability has never been more urgent. This one-day event brings together researchers, practitioners, and regulators to explore the ethical dimensions of machine learning: what it means for a model to be fair, what the EU AI Act demands, and what discrimination in algorithms looks like in practice.

Whether you are new to the topic or already working in the field, this day offers both foundational grounding and cutting-edge insights from leading voices in AI and finance with a special keynote by Prof.dr. Stefan Duchateau.
