VAN DEN BORRE Eddy
Eddy Van den Borre heads the Enterprise Risk Management and the GRC Coordination with AG Insurance (company of the Ageas Group) since 2009.
He holds a master degree in Applied Economics Sciences (Quantitative methods) and in Actuarial Sciences from the Katholieke Universiteit Leuven (KULeuven).
Eddy started his career as an economist in public institutions and as an actuary with the Insurance Supervisor. He joined the ASLK in 1986. In 2004 he became Head of Accounting and Control at FB Verzekeringen (new name of ASLK) and in 2006 he assumed the function of Head of Risk in Fortis Insurance Belgium ( the merger of Fortis AG and FB Verzekeringen).
He is actively involved with the Institute : he is past president of the Professional Committee and Education Committee and nowadays still active as speaker in several seminars and educational sessions. In 2018 he was appointed IA|BE member for Life.
