Job Description
The Institute of Actuaries in Belgium (IA|BE) is looking for a Membership & Operations Coordinator.
The objective of IA|BE as professional association is:
- to defend the professional interests of its members and contribute to their professional development;
- to defend the interests of the profession of actuary and contribute to the further development of the profession of actuary;
- to put the interests of the members first when carrying out its activities.
The Institute has today around 1.200 members and is still growing. A small staff (the permanent secretariat) takes care of the daily management of the Institute under the supervision of the General Manager, who is appointed by the Board.
The Membership & Operations Coordinator is a member of the IA|BE Permanent Secretariat and is in charge of the management of our members and the operations of the Institute. (S)he runs the day-to-day activities of the Institute and is the person to-go-to for the General Manager.
The role is a full time position.
Profile
We are looking for an autonomous, organized, proactive, and solution-oriented person, capable of working in a small structure with flexibility, commitment, and initiative.
Ideally, you have:
- Strong organisational, administrative and communication skills;
- At least 5 years of relevant experience in an operational, coordination or communication role;
- Excellent command of Dutch or French, both written and spoken, and a good knowledge of the other official language and English; enabling you to work in an environment where members can communicate in all three languages;
- Strong command of standard office tools (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint);
- Professional experience in managing social media.
Knowledge or experience in the insurance sector, the financial world, or an institutional environment would be an asset.
