    At the Statutory General Assembly of 14 March 2019, the results of the elections for the new IA|BE Board were announced and confirmed. Erik Van Camp becomes the new IA|BE Chairman. More

  7. The new issue of The European Actuary (Number 19 – March 2019) is now available and can be downloaded from the AAE website. More

  8. The third European Congress of Actuaries will take place in Lisbon on 6 and 7 June 2019. It will discuss the professional challenges and opportunities in traditional work areas as well as in new areas of activity of actuaries: new technologies, data science and cyber risks, behavioral finance, consumer protection, independent advice, capital standards, implementation of Solvency II, IORP, actuarial skills in wider fields and much more. The target audience includes practitioners, actuaries and academics, risk managers working in industry, decision makers and other professionals interested in the future of risk management in Europe.   10. The 2018 Ageing report

    The 2018 Ageing Report was prepared as part of the mandate the Economic and Financial Affairs (ECOFIN) Council gave to the Economic Policy Committee (EPC) in 2015 to update and further deepen its common exercise of age-related expenditure projections, on the basis of a new population projection by Eurostat. It is the sixth report with long-term projections of the budgetary impact of the ageing population in the EU Member States and Norway, covering the period 2016–2070. In response to the mandate, the EPC mandated a working group, the Ageing Working Group (AWG) under the chairmanship of Godwin Mifsud, to take forward the work needed to discharge this remit. More
