CPD IA|BE Solvency II Basics First Pillar Non Life
The training will cover Best Estimate calculations, including first analysis, claims provision using the chain ladder method, both gross and net of ceded reinsurance, premium provisions, and projection of cash flows. Participants will also explore discounting of technical provisions, the Risk Margin under the cost-of-capital approach, and the Solvency Capital Requirement under the Standard Formula, including Non-Life SCR with volume measure, standard deviation, premium and reserve risk, catastrophe risk (natural and man-made), and lapse risk. By the end of the session, learners will be able to understand and explain the calculation of technical provisions, the role of reinsurance, the mechanics of the risk margin, and the structure and main drivers of the Non-Life SCR.
